Offshore Mechanic

MISSION
- Carry out maintenance and repair of all the mechanical production equipment in a safe manner
TASKS
- Carry out the maintenance and repair of all pipelay equipment
- Carry out the maintenance of the cranes and winches
- Carry out the maintenance and repair of the ILT, Hydraulic and diesel hammer, pumps of Hydraulic power pack, air compressor and diesel engines
- Ensure housekeeping in the working area
- Comply with the pollution prevention / mitigation procedures
- Partecipate to the daily Tool box talk meetings and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) when required
- Ensure that tools are stored in the appropriate location once used
- Report incidents and near-miss events to his supervisor on duty
- Always wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during own work shift
- Attend all emergency drills
- Report to the Mechanic Foreman Offshore. At the discretion of the Chief Engineer, may report to other functions onboard the vessel

JOB DETAILS
We have a new requirement for Trainee Offshore ROV Pilot Technician(s).
Please note: All applicants must reside in the UK and possess full, permanent UK right-to-work status, as Saipem is unable to offer sponsorships.
- Closing Date: Friday 25/10/2024
- Interview Dates: Monday 04/11/2024 – Friday 15/11/2024
- Start Date: Beginning of January 2025
- Training: A 3-week training period will take place in the Aberdeen Office/Workshop before heading offshore.

Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair submersible machines (ROVs).
- Pilot ROV’s.
- Implement and monitor technical procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements at all times.
- Participate in project tasks as outlined in the project scope of work.
Education/Experience Requirements
- HNC (or higher) qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulic systems or relevant experience.
- Previous offshore exposure is advantageous.

JOB DETAILS
Mission
- Ensure the performance of electrical works activities following Foreman instructions and in accordance with safety and quality standards
Tasks
- Perform the electrical works in accordance with safety and quality requirements
- Perform electrical or electronic wiring connections for equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, cabinets and any other electrical apparatus
- Ensure the works are carried out according to project drawings
- Verify the equipment and materials are in good and safe operating conditions and report any anomalies to Foreman
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Ensure coordination with the adjacent works to minimize coactivities and eliminate unsafe conditions
- Follow the permit-to-work statement
- Ensure the housekeeping of the work location
- Properly maintain electrical systems, switchboards, related electrical equipment, SCR control system, EO System and all electrical instrumentation, including high/low voltage and DC System and all the equipment relative at the onshore fleet in accordance with Maintenance Electr Section Lead or Workshop Foreman (only for onshore activities)
