Oil & Gas Pipeline Engineer- Atmos

To independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

 

The candidate will be based out of Freese and Nichols San Antonio office supporting Atmos’ Compliance Engineering group on a fulltime basis. Freese and Nichol’s currently has a 2-day per week remote work option available.  For this specific role, there is a possibility for full-time remote work depending on candidates’ level of applicable experience.

  • Strong effective, timely, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with logical thought processes
  • Demonstrated ability for focused attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to perform all essential functions of the position including those listed above
  • Ability and willingness to understand and implement all company/job-related processes, procedures, guidelines, and best practices
  • Ability and willingness to communicate with field operating personnel, project engineers, and outside entities
  • Must be accountable and manage activities to keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow company policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work independently
  • Ability to interpret industry and company standards and procedures
  • Subject to PHMSA compliant drug testing program
  • Knowledge of PHMSA Part 192 regulations
  • Knowledge of general pipeline construction and maintenance standards, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of Subpart O Pipeline Integrity Regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of ASME B31.8S standard

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Three years with a BS degree or two years with a MS degree
  • Experience working with pipeline alignment sheets and construction drawings
  • Experience working with construction closing packages
